2007 MAKE A WISH FUNDRAISER

We are once again having a fundraiser for Make A Wish Foundation. On your convention registration form you will find a line which you can make any dollar donation you would like. We will have a video by the Make A Wish Program at the Friday Luncheon.

Although we cannot think of a better cause to support, it was extra special to Coy Harbin, Treasurer, because his wife’s nephew, Drake Dahn, is a Make-A-Wish child who lives in Austin.

Drake is 7 years old and was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a very aggressive brain tumor that he had removed a little over a year ago at The Children’s Hospital in Austin. He then underwent long term treatment at St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. He just recently underwent testing at St. Jude’s and came up clear on his case. Drake is enjoying his wish that was already approved by the Austin Chapter months ago. He and his family flew to Utah for a ski trip. Make-A-Wish took care of all the details and planning.
